When you're putting the pipe back in the clip will move outwards and it'll click and fall back into that groove on the pipe. That’s probably your best bet, i’d bet after putting a new chargepipe on and clearing the codes they wouldn’t come back, unless you just had really bad luck and something unrelated went wrong. Car only has 36k miles on it, but it’s 8 years old, which is a ripe old age for plastic bmw engine components I thought my transmission blew or something but i could still shift through gears fine and then i limp it home and i find that my chargepipe blew
